First Transcontinental Student Exchange Program through Native Pollination

All greater human interests are at stake in this ecological, economic, and political transition the world is facing. It demands an ever-wiser use of vital resources and renewed interactions with environment, urging us to perceive this climate crisis not as a constraint but an opportunity.

Pollinators are the only living component of our ecosystems, capable of bringing existing solutions for those common goals and resolving the most urgent conservation issues with across continental ecosystems to proactively drive its interaction toward recovery. Facing the threat of extinction, their decline has already led to a reported mortality of over half a million people per year, not considering the vastly missed opportunities in nutritional and pharmaceutical applications of their byproducts. But still today, humans of all regions and all period history can actively interact with it, enabling global food security and facilitating alternative income in the most biodiversity-rich regions of the planet.

This Earth Day 2024, Global Portal Institute invites you to join the next global action on April 22, 2024: a first-of-its-kind “Sustainability Day” highlighting the ability of humanity to protect and propagate vital pollinator activities by simply observing the native species around during a certain amount of time for a world coordinated action from the capital of the Amazon, learning from it, and diffusing it.

This first-of-its-kind encounter, broadcast from Manaus, will bridge students across four continents (North America, South America, Asia, and Africa) with the rest of the world around this vital subject, highlighting the latest findings and environmental education in practice to consistently measure native pollination restoration, valuate its impacts, and equip students, parents, and professors to lead the more than ever needed adaptation to climate balance and global wealth.
